Paul's CareerPaul Groothuis began his career as a technical instrument maker in his native Holland before deciding that he wanted to work as a technician who supported artists. He trained as a sound engineer and stage manager at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London and worked in recording studios in very minor and uncreative jobs until he finally got his break and was given some responsibility. He then began a very successful career as a sound designer in the theatre, responsible for over 120 productions at the National alone. | | |
