Peter's Career

Peter Blythe has a long and illustrious CV befitting an actor who, by his own admission, has now reached an age “when I get offered seniors”. He has worked with many of Britain’s leading theatre directors including John Caird, Richard Eyre, Peter Hall and Peter Brook, and appeared in a huge variety of plays, from Shakespeare to David Hare, in major theatres throughout the world. But actors as distinguished as Peter Blythe spend their working lives as much in the television studio as on the stage. His face will be familiar to that vast army of people who followed John Mortimer’s television series Rumpole of the Bailey in which Peter played Sam (Soapy) Ballard.
