Mark's Career

Mark Jonathan had a keen interest in drama and lighting while he was at school. He joined the National Youth Theatre and subsequently began working in repertory theatre as a technical ASM (assistant stage manager?). He has lit drama, opera, ballet, dance and musicals extensively in Britain, Europe and the USA. His most recent work includes The Crucible and The Witches at the Birmingham Rep Theatre and on tour, Sylvia and Cinderella for the Royal Ballet at the Royal Opera House and the Met in New York, Beauty and the Beast for the Birmingham Royal Ballet and Ariadne auf Naxos for the Los Angeles Opera.
