Artistic director David Farr set up a small theatre company when he was at university, consisting of himself and two other actors. They put on very simple productions, one involving him, two actresses and a table, and another with him, two actresses and a stepladder! They won an award for a production at the Edinburgh Festival, and since then, one of the actors has gone on to be a movie star, the other is a mother who writes from time to time, and David is an artistic director.
