These learning materials do not require the teacher or learner necessarily to have read Jamila Gavin’s novel Coram Boy or to have seen the National Theatre production. However, they do presuppose that Helen Edmundson’s adaptation of the novel, on which the scheme of work is based, will be familiar. There is material for several lessons, with information for teachers and pupils, short tasks and a suggestion of how to locate and use a selection of video clips and web materials focusing on relevant questions.

The materials are available in downloadable PDF or in Word files that you can tailor to your own requirements.
