Inclusion And DifferentiationThese lesson ideas have been designed to take account of students’ differing needs. They start from the premise that high expectations should to be set for all students and that supportive strategies for organising oral work (such as paired work )and a variety of ways of recording learning including visual and dramatic responses ensure that students can participate in ways that accommodate different learning preferences. Most of the activities have been designed for use with mixed ability groups or paired work, which allows teachers to match students according to their strengths and needs. During the whole class activities differentiated questioning will ensure that appropriate challenges are set for children with different levels of attainment. Through collective sharing of ideas all students responses and opinions will be validated. | | |
