Richard III Act 3 Scene 7 - Point of ViewRichard deceives lots of people in his bloody and violent path to power. Perhaps his most daring deception comes in Act 3 scene 7 when, with the help of Buckingham and Catesby, he convincingly disguises his true self and acts the part of a holy man, uninterested in power. In a public performance designed to appeal to an audience made up of the Mayor and citizens of London, he convinces them that he is a fitting, if reluctant candidate for the throne of England. In the point of view tool which features this scene in performance by Northern Broadsides, the user can choose whose point of view they wish to see the action from: Richard's, Buckingham's, the Mayor's or that of the audience, and access interviews with the key players. | | |
